1 note ()
If I were to live my life in catfish forms in scaffolds of skin and whiskers at the bottom of a pond and you were to come by one evening when the moon was shining down into my dark home and stand there at the edge of my affection and think, "It's beautiful here by this pond. I wish somebody loved me," I'd love you and be your catfish friend and drive such lonely thoughts from your mind and suddenly you would be at peace, and ask yourself, "I wonder if there are any catfish in this pond? It seems like a perfect place for them."
(Acrylic). Funny thing about this picture. I painted this picture of Ava while she was still in her mother’s womb. She was bald when born, but now at 7, she has this hair color. She’s the only person on both sides of the family to have red hair. She also became intensely interested in dinosaurs. Threads of time and our connections to them can be wild if we’re lucky enough to be tied to them.
This is close to the final of my first 12” vinyl album cover design for ‘Scott Chism and the Better Half’. CD to follow. Acrylic, ink, illustrator and photoshop….and rubber stamp.
Watercolor of a little cloth trinket purchased at the airport in Des Moines, Iowa.

This is an idea I thought of as I was drifting off to sleep last night.
One of these days I would like to hire the brilliant Tom Haney (tomhaney.com) to make one for me.
